Small groups at St Columba
What is a small group?
A small group is just what it says – a small group of people who meet together regularly as part of their church life at St Columba.
Our most popular small groups are the ones that meet in people’s homes weekly or fortnightly to study the Bible, pray for one another and care for one another. They also meet together socially - its a great way to make new friends. Some of these groups keep going all year round, while others are known as “sprint groups” and only run for a short period of time, usually focussed on a particular sermon series.
We also have groups that get together because the members share a common interest – whether it be golf, gardening or eating out at cafes. This is a wonderful way to get to meet other like-minded people.
How do I find out more about joining a small group?
You can talk to the church office, who will tell you about the small groups that are currently running and suggest which might be appropriate for you to check out.
Do I have to belong to a small group?
Its completely up to you whether you want to join a small group at St Columba. We won’t try to sign you up against your will or pressure you to belong. We will, however, point you in the right direction of an appropriate group if you want to find out more.
