Missional Church:
To engage in the work that God is already doing in our community, WE need to have our ears & hearts tuned to God' spirit. We listen, discern and then ACT! Over the next few months we will be engaging in a number of listening projects:
Neighbour Survey
This community survey ties into our teaching series that will conclude in the third term with "Loving our neighbour".
With Eyes Wide Open
Who lives in our community and what are their needs? With "eyes wide open" we will be able to see our community and begin to identify how best we can be neighbours to them. We will be looking at this in three ways:
Prayer walks -what do you see when you pray with your eyes wide open?
Photo Journal -our community as a photo journal
Map -what our community looks like on a map.
Sacred Whispers
Sacred whispers is listening to the stirrings of God that lie deep in the human heart. How do people really experience God at work in their lives? Where is God in their hopes, hurts and huungers?
Sacred Text
If God were to design a church from scratch what would be the most significant guiding texts from the scriptures? If you love digging into the scriptures, consider becoming part of the "sacred text" team.
