To help get you in the mood for ...

6 December 2007

WASSUP - Open up your thesaurus

Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, incense and myrrh.

Mtt 2:11

In my reading this week I discovered that the word "treasures" is the word from which we get the word thesaurus, which means "store house" or "treasury".

You are a thesaurus!

You are a treasure

You are a store house of blessings for others

Open up

An open heart leads to an open hand

INSIGHT OUT - Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas is a term for those who find Christmas is accompanied by a flood of memories of sadness, of loss, grief and pain.

If that's you or you know someone who's having a blue Christmas, this one is for you.

God help us
if our world should grow dark
and there is no way of seeing or knowing
grant us courage and trust
to touch and be touched
to find our way onwards
by feeling

amen

LAST WORD - Immortality

What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others in the world remains and is immortal
