More than a glance

WASSUP - History in the making

If ever there was a time to watch and pray it is right now!

You're watching history in the making.

INSIGHT OUT - More than a glance

... like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like...

James 1:24

When was the last time you took a good look in the mirror, what did you see?

Without times of quality reflection you will deny yourself from seeing and hearing the truth. The result: "self deception". It's all part of the busyness game we all play; only a glance and very seldom time to reflect.

Reflection looks deep into the mirror, penetrates the skin and touches the soul, the place in our lives that longs to be freed by the truth. But a glance is just like throwing a grain of rice to the dying.

Let me ask you the question again.

When was the last time you took a good look in the mirror, what did you see?

It's time for more than a glance!

OUTSIGHT IN - Tuesdays with Morrie

If your life is racing at blinding speed going not sure where, then just maybe this little book could slow you down enough to reflect on who you are and where you are going.

Try this, Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom

Who do you have in your life that you can sit down with on Tuesdays and dig into the real issues of life and death?

A good read.

A good reflect!

SEE YA SUNDAY - Evidence based faith

Continuing in our series on the Book of James, this week I'll pick up James 1:19-27. 8.30 & 10.30

While many people want to look to God for evidence FOR faith, this Sunday let's turn it round and look for the evidence OF faith.

What if God were to ask you for the evidence of your faith?

I think you would be in for a surprise.

This Saturday evening (29 September)

Adventures with God ...
at St Columba Church starting at 6.30pm with a "potluck" dinner.

Come and hear the stories of our travellers that have recently visited Israel, Taiwan and Myanmar.

Sunday evening service this week with Matt Chapman and guest Lydia Alice. 6.30pm in the Foyer.

Can't wait ... see ya Sunday

Thanks for this time to chat.

LAST WORD - Who's who

You don't have to be in Who's Who to know what's what
