WASSUP - Amazing Grace
If you get a chance over the next few weeks go and see "Amazing Grace" the movie inspired by the life of William Wilberforce.
I went last week and was inspired and challenged.
You'll never again sing the song Amazing Grace the same.
You be inspired by the impact that one person can have to shape the world.
You'll be challenged to ask the question, "To what do you give your life?"
Great movie.
Put it on your must see list!

INSIGHT OUT - Half dead and dead
In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead."
Lk 10:30
So, you've had stuffing knocked out of you leaving you half dead. What an interesting phrase, "half dead!" A kind of half life that isn't really life at all.
I guess the good news is you are not fully dead; for once you are, then you're dead! So what hope do you have "that you won't be left for dead?"
The parable of the Good Samaritan has this half dead guy lying on the side of the road after having been beaten by the robbers. He can't ring 111 and call for help, but is left totally at the mercy of others. Will he be left for dead?
Is there one who will come and save me? Now that's a good question. Your life depends on it! Read on, the story has a surprising ending.
OUTSIGHT IN - The three monkeys
The three monkeys cast in bronze
they don't see, don't hear and don't speak
because they'd rather not
It's better to be detached than responsible
So cover your eyes
put your fingers in your ears
and your hand over your mouth
hoping that the world will go away
Business as usual
What the blind eye doesn't see
the deaf ear doesn't hear
silence is golden
or is it?
SEE YA SUNDAY - Love your neighbour: The "ins" and "outs"
A question that lies just beneath the skin is, am I "in" or "out?"
That's the question that the lawyer was asking Jesus ("what must I do to inherit eternal life?"). Jesus answered the question with a story (Lk 10:25-37) about those who are "in" and those who are "out". The surprising twist of the story is that those who think they are "in" are out and the "out" are in.
So what about you? Are you "in" or "out?"
8.30 & 10.30 The "ins" and "outs"
Canvas this Sunday evening at 6.30pm with Matt
Can't wait ... see ya Sunday
Thanks for this time to chat.

LAST WORD - When your inner fire goes out
In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It then bursts into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
