Dew kissed grass glistening

19 April 2007

WASSUP - A new term

I was at a training seminar this week and learnt a new term "bio break"

I'll let you figger what it means.

I learnt a lot more than that
I'm now certified to administer "firo b"

No, not about to sell vitamin pills.
No, I'm not about to begin a religious sect.

It's a tool to help people understand themselves and their interactions with others.

Good stuff

INSIGHT OUT - Dew kissed grass glistening

(try that as a tongue twister)

Rees / Dart - day four

Bio break in the middle of the night
The stars watching
The Milky Way has a way of putting you in your place
A feeling of significant insignificance
or is that insignificant significance?
I wanted to wake the world
to show what they were missing
but sleep was more precious to some than this view of the universe.

As the sun rose it confirmed what the stars had shown by night
The curtain had been raised
uncovering a visual feast of glorious beauty
Decision time
Do we take yesterdays track and climb another saddle
or listen to the call of the valley?
The beginning of the homeward journey
and the promise of steak, eggs, bacon, chips and beer
My vote was for the yesterday track saying,
"we've never walked it today"
but the valley beckoned and won.

A strange mating ritual is observed every morning
as socks that have been "dry cleaned" overnight
find their pairs
then paired with feet
who are then paired with boots.
Just imagine the mathematical combinations
and the consequence if just one is mismatched?
Same socks, new day
Paired.

While my heart was walking up the valley
my feet were leading deep into the Beech Forrest
The trees stood as guards to the valley below
casting shadows pierced by shafts of light
Like sleeping giants about to become Ents
Listening to be heard
I'm sure I saw that tree moving
Orcs must be just around the corner
And then as moving from one scene into another
A clearing
An amphitheatre
The stage -
dew kissed grass glistening in the sunshine
Stage left, a bell bird calling
Stage right, the lovers reply
Surely this must be the voice of God
If ever there is a moment for time to stand still forever
this is it

The welcome mat greeted us ten thousand times over
as sand flies sampled us as their entre to the evening meal
Tonight a night of extravagance
a last supper, if you like
Sharing our chocolate with others
eating double rations
knowing that it would lighten our load tomorrow
For come tomorrow
Steak, chips, beer
and a shower.

OUTSIGHT IN - We've never walked it today

Lesson for the day:

Many people miss today thinking it is the same as yesterday

Na, today is a whole new ball game and none of us have ever been here before!

LAST WORD - Hope sings

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune
Without words
And never stops at all
