Death by Meetings

WASSUP - "Un-parents"

Seems that the state is about to take control over the highest office in the land, parents. The new "no smacking" law is about to make good parents into criminals. Social control is about to turn families into places of fear where the kids reign supreme. The social police are watching your every move. You will be reported.

Now don't get me wrong, I am passionately against violence and abuse in the family. Children have been and are being violently treated in the home and this has to stop.

But this new law?

Sad what we are becoming, "un-parents."

INSIGHT OUT - What dreams are made of

Pain
What is
What is dreamed of
What is acted upon

When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion,
we were like men who dreamed.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.

Psalm 126:1, 5&6

OUTSIGHT IN - Death by meetings

People who don't know why they are there
A chair with no legs
A bureaucrat obsessed with spelling errors
A preacher who hasn't realized, no-one is listening
A bean counter who has lost his beans
Hopping on a bus going nowhere
Hot air
A game without a score
Constipated motions

Enough said?

SEE YA SUNDAY - Going somewhere

This Sunday morning 8.30 & 10.30 am - Going somewhere. Part 7 - What dreams are made of
Over the next weeks we will be working our way through a number of the Psalms of ascent.
These Psalms tell the story of a journey of change and transformation. But that's not the point. It's about being on the way!

This week - Dreams don't come cheap; they come from the deepest place of our being and usually involve pain. What dreams are made of will connect you with your deepest dream. For a quick preview read Psalm 126.

Bread & Wine - 9.45am - Weekly Communion

Thanks for this time to chat.

LAST WORD - Fail fast

Fail fast and cheap. Fail often. Fail in a way that doesn't kill you. This is the only way to learn what works and what doesn't.
