WASSUP - Sliced bread
Here's some Thursday trivia 4U
Who was the inventor of sliced bread?
In what year?
If you were around then would you have thought of it, or would you have waited in line with all the rest and said, "why didn't I think of that?".
Now take a closer look at it. It wasn't really an invention (cutting or breaking bread had been around since bread), it was a problem to solve - making the eating of bread easier and more convenient. Hey, let's pre-slice it!
It's not going to be too long before we buy our bread, not from the bread rack but from the freezer as dough, take it home and bake it fresh.
Sliced bread is so yesterday.

INSIGHT OUT - Without You
Without you
I'd be ...
beaten up and left for dead
swallowed alive
wasted
stuffed
swept away by the flood
run over by a bus
in it over my head
up a creek without a paddle
ravaged by vultures
snared by the fowler
but thanks to you ...
I'm free
see Psalm 124
OUTSIGHT IN - Purple Cow
There are so many choices to make and so little time to make them in.
We are bombarded with propaganda every day competing for our attention, appealing for our money. So much so we are becoming dumbed down by the assault.
This is the environment in which you do business.
Why should I give you my time to even listen to you?
At best I may listen with polite apathy at worst, ignore you all together.
Come to think of it why would you bother reading this email letter?
That is unless you have a purple cow.
Now you have my attention
Out of the ordinary
Remarkable!
Be remarkable
If you would like to explore this kind of thinking further .

SEE YA SUNDAY - Going somewhere
This Sunday morning 8.30 & 10.30 am - Going somewhere. Part 5 - Without You
Over the next weeks we will be working our way through a number of the Psalms of ascent.
These Psalms tell the story of a journey of change and transformation. But that's not the point. It's about being on the way!
This week - Just imagine what life would be like without God? This week as we look at Psalm 124, Colin Prentice shares some great stories of how God has helped him out of many sticky spots.

LAST WORD - You're remarkable
You are not a cog.
You are not an assistant or an administrator.
You're not a gofer or middle manager either.
No, you're creative.
A valuable asset to your family and your community.
A person who can make a difference to an organization.
You are capable of having an impact, leaving a legacy, creating things that are outstanding.
You are not ordinary.
In fact, you're remarkable.
Now, hurry.
Don't let yourself (and the rest of us) down.Seth Godin
