WASSUP - A room with a view
This week 4U comes from a new location.
As I've been encouraging you to find a space and place in your lives to "think," so I've found one of those spaces. Away from all that would call for my attention; now I can only be distracted by the view and my own wondering thoughts. This is a most gracious gift that I will treasure and one which will hopefully become a gift to you as I read, write, wonder, and pray.
Andrew
INSIGHT OUT - All in a day
I was kissed by the rising sun
I climbed a mountain, stood on its crown and raised my arms in surrender
I rode a Harley one thousand miles
I sailed to the edge of the world where the land lost its sight
I walked on golden sands and swam in a symphony of tropical colour
I mounted on eagles wings and saw the world through her eyes
I drank coffee and wine with dear friends in the world's four corners
I was held by a baby whose eyes saw someone in me I didn't know
I experienced the miracle grace that both broke me and made me whole
I painted a canvas with words that danced into life
I was watched by the man in the moon who sees all in the dark of the night
I folded the corner of today's page so I could remember my place when I awoke
All in a day
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is praised.
Psalm 113:3
OUTSIGHT IN - Intolerance
I'm all for more tolerance in the world, but just for a moment I'd like you to consider becoming intolerant.
Why do you tolerate the "way things are" and call it normal?
You tolerate traffic jams, poor service, incompetence and bullies?
You tolerate those who tell lies and call it politics.
You tolerate glib answers without ever asking your own questions.
You tolerate promise without delivery.
You tolerate a life half lived, by being one of the ordinaries.
But worst of all you tolerate your own excuses.
Why do you do it?
Let me have a guess.
Because you are not prepared to pay the price of change.
But what you have failed to do, is work out the price of not changing.
Do the math.
You see, staying the same (being tolerant) carries with it a very high price.
Are you prepared to pay that?
Become intolerant.

LAST WORD- The hinterland of uncertainty
Save me, O God, from ever becoming absolutely certain. Preserve me in the hinterland of uncertainty so that it may always by absolutely certain that if I attain salvation I receive it by grace.
