WASSUP - Pyro marketing
I came across the idea of pyro marketing this week. It's an old idea (word of mouth) that has taken on a new term. If you had only one match and wanted to get your message to the world, how would you use that match? What kind of fire would you light?
See if it lights your wick.
Andrew
INSIGHT OUT - Soul treason
What if we discover that our present way of life is irreconcilable with our vocation to become fully human?
Paulo Freire
What if you were to stand trial for crimes against your own soul?
How would you plead?
For wearing a face that does not belong to you?
For violating your heart in the name of another?
For being silent; intimidated by convenience or fear?
For giving what you do not have to give?
For receiving what is not yours to receive?
For ignoring your souls cry?
Soul treason, the ultimate crime against yourself.
OUTSIGHT IN - Outrageous grace
I don't want to join the debate of offence that people cause one another in the name of religious sensitivities.
But I do want to be just a little bit outrageous, if not offensive, about the grace of God.
It seems to me that people want to keep score; God wants to forget.
People want to make others pay; God wants to pick up the tab.
People want to use words like, "fair and justice"; God uses words like "love and forgiveness."
The Lord is merciful and gracious; He is slow to get angry and full of unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He has not punished us for all our sins, nor does He deal with us as we deserve. For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our rebellious acts as far away from us as the east is from the west.
Psalm 103:8-11
No if, but or maybe.
That's outrageous!
Check it out in Luke 15:11-32

What will the dog say when awakened to my presence?
Bark as aroused by an intruder or bound tail in hand with eyes of delight?
And what of the door, does she know my name, swing easy on her hinges or ignore my coming with a rusty yawn?
If you ever doubted that God would welcome you home with open arms, this is the Sunday for you!

LAST WORD - Supreme paradox
The supreme paradox of all thought is the attempt to discover something that thought cannot think.
Climacus (Kierkegaard) PF 46
