WASSUP - Metric and Imperial

It's taken me a long time but I've just figured something out.
I was the generation that grew up learning both metric and imperial.
As a result, I know neither!
I spend my life converting one into the other and then back again.
I'm constantly moving between the two.
A translator of two very different worlds.
I've made a decision.
The way of the future is in metric.
But even this may not be enough.
The way of the future will be radically different from today

INSIGHT OUT - When I die

I wonder what it will be like?
Not death, for I've seen that
But after death
I know what I don't want ...
I don't want to be bored, floating on a cloud singing the same song forever
I don't want to face those uncomfortable silences that follow ...
"What for heaven's sake are you doing here?"
I don't want to sort out other people's problems
I don't want to wear a watch or have to reply to emails

I'd like to bathe in beauty
To live continually in the "Wow!"
I'd like to go on adventures
To discover the undiscovered and to see the yet unseen
I'd like to take up running and never get shin splints or puffed
I'd like a forever lunch hour with fine wine and friends in the sun.

It shone with the glory of God, and it's brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal... The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

Rev 21:11& 21

(As part of my job death is never far from me.
I think about it quite a lot.)

OUTSIGHT IN - Become unreasonable!

Some twenty five years later I remember one thing my Church History Professor said,
"Moderates achieve nothing!"
In every age there have been radicals who have ushered in revolution and reformation.
Moderates simply sigh and say, "what will be, will be!"

I heard something similar recently from Mark Franklin, CEO of Vector, "Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable people change the world."
Become unreasonable!

Just imagine if you became unreasonable about quality and service, or .. ?

Are you happy with the status quo?
Become unreasonable!

Can you name four things that you would like to become unreasonable about?

LAST WORD - Made for another world

I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.
